Crec que és una bona publicació perquè tracta com treballar el cine a l'aula a diferents nivells educatius no només des d'un punt de vist pràctic (amb activitats en diferents àrees del curriculum) sinó també des d'un punt de vista tècnic (amb una anàlisi del llenguatge cinematogràfic). First of all, I would like to apologise for not having written for a long time. As most of you know, this year I'm trying to pass the teaching exams ("oposicions") in Catalunya and here, so that, life has been quite hectic recently! Anyway, I know that some of my students from Benicarló have entered this blog to look for useful resources to practise their English. Thanks to all of them for making me feel that this blog is a useful tool :-) although they feel too shy to post their opinions in English and I can't receive too much feedback from them :-(

The end of the academic year is already here and I would like to say that I have really enjoyed this teaching period at the IES RAMON CID in Benicarló. I felt at home both at work and in the city. I'll really miss having the beach in front of my flat, sunbathing and swimming at the "Platja del Morrongo", coffee time after lunch at Nuri's café, having dinner and going on excursions with workmates... and of course, the new friends that hopefully will be part of my life for ages and ages. They know who they are...

I don't really know what I'll be doing next academic year, but if I had to choose, I would choose being in Benicarló teaching English at the Ramon Cid High School. I promise!

This summer, I hope I'll be able to keep this blog as updated as possible since I'll be on holidays and I'll have plenty of time.

32nd ANNUAL CONVENTION TESOL

The convention theme for 2009, Blending Tradition with Innovation, aims to re-explore the tried and true while considering new activities to use in our teaching. Reflection and exploration by teachers, materials writers, and curriculum developers can be a powerful vehicle for professional development. Areas of interest include teacher training, methodology, curriculum design, materials development, classroom practice, testing and evaluation, teacher interaction, CLIL, and of course information technology. The convention offers participants a wide range of presentations by national and international speakers including plenary and keynote presentations, papers, workshops, round tables, and product presentations. It is attended by a wide variety of EFL professionals. There are teachers from infant, primary and secondary schools, from EOIs, universities, technical schools and academies, as well as teacher trainers, materials writers, and course planners.
